First Dances

For First Dances we provide a list below of songs we perform.

We would love to be able to play everyone's first dance song choices but it is common for us to have three or four weddings in a week. This makes it logistically not possible to learn all song requests and to perform them to our professional high standard. However if your choice is a well known popular song we will try our best to learn it, but the bulk of our efforts must be put into keeping the set as fresh and lively as possible.

 

As you've chosen a particular song for your first dance,  we don't want to do a version that sounds like your friend from college who could “play guitar” at house parties. The Curlybobs is a band with five members, so we don't have a symphony or thirty piece brass band to call on that could replicate your song (I wish we did though). 

In this instant you might prefer us to play the original version through our PA system.  This works very well and does not take away from the atmosphere as we introduce yourselves and involve all of the audience creating a party atmosphere.
